Steamdrums

In various industrial applications, water is heated and converted into steam which is then used for power generation, heating or other processes. From the generator, the steam is transported in pipelines to various consumers. Steam drums are a crucial part of the steam system. They are used to separate steam and water, store and buffer the steam to compensate for fluctuations in steam demand and thus ensure stable operation of the steam system.
In general, steam drums are cylindrical vessels in which steam and water are separated. Thus, the generated steam rises into the drum and the unheated water flows back into the “steam generator” in the pipes.
